Hiking for the hearing-impaired

FORT LARAMIE – Approximately 30 hikers hit the trail at the Fort Laramie National Historic Site April 5 for the annual Job’s Daughters International “High Plains Hike.”

According to organizer Erin Jespersen, participants get pledges for the walk to raise money for the Job’s Daughters H.I.K.E. charity (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) in order to help obtain hearing aids, text telephones (TTY) and other devices for children with hearing impairments.
