Open house at prehistoric dig site

Courtesy of the University of Wyoming, PaleoIndian Research Lab. - Young adults enjoy one of the 2011 atl-atl throw events sponsored by the Atl-atl Association and Social Club and the mammoth target used for the event. This year such an event will take place July 27.

GUERNSEY One of the most famous Paleoindian archaeological sites in North America, Hell Gap, located 15 miles northeast of Guernsey, will be hosting an open house on July 27 where the public will be able to tour the area and excavation site.

The site has always been open to the public, said Marcel Kornfeld, a professor of anthropology at the University of Wyoming (UW).
