Local women in history presentation

Photo/ Bud Patterson - Lesley Gaunt, interpretive park ranger for Scottsbluff National Monument, spoke last Thursday night to a full house at the Western History Museum on “Women Who Were Left Behind.” Gaunt brought her insights and research on how women of the 1800s managed family, farms, ranches and businesses when the men in their lives left to find riches in the California goldfields.
