Grains hold strong in 2012

TORRINGTON – Looking back on 2012 for local corn, wheat and bean producers, it may feel easy to point to the lack of moisture and assume the worst. However, as was the case with sugar beets and livestock, many area companies reported record high prices or very good years for yield and price.
