TORRINGTON – Everything’s coming up in walls for the Torrington Streets Project, as a fourth company joins three others in the project’s construction. The work is meant to increase traffic flow and minimize waiting time due to trains by realigning the highway.
Miller Wall Company is building a wall to retain the earthwork up to the bridge’s planned elevation. The partition will have a decorative pattern displaying different-colored bands and flying pheasants. The construct will be made of individual blocks about 18 inches wide and eight inches tall.
