Merle Ouderkirk

Oct. 27, 1927 – Sept. 28, 2012

TORRINGTON – Merle Ouderkirk, 84, of Torrington, passed away on Sept. 28 at Banner Health Community Hospital in Torrington.

Merle was born on Oct. 27, 1927, in Maybee, Mich.

She married William “Bill” Ouderkirk on Oct. 19, 1946.

Merle was dearly loved by all who knew her, and she will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by three children, Jim Ouderkirk and Linda Conlon, both of Torrington, and Aaron Ouderkirk, of Maybee; three grandchildren, Jeffery (Julia) Conlon and Chris (Ashley) Conlon, both of Lingle, and Teri (Steven) Phillips, of Torrington; three great-granddaughters, Sandra Marie, Jessie Merle and Kallie Jo Conlon, all of Lingle. These girls were the light of her life.

She is also survived by many “adopted” kids and grandkids.

No services are pending at Merle’s request. Cremation has taken place.
