LINGLE – Myrtle Arlene Jantzen, 78, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Community Hospital in Torrington.
Cremation and burial have taken place. There will be a family celebration of life ceremony at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home, and friends may send their condolences to Myrtle’s family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Myrtle was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Lingle, the son of Walter and Bernice (Scriven) Bremer. She graduated from Lingle High School and then attended EWC.
Myrtle married Ed Jantzen Sept. 22, 1956. She was a homemaker and worked at the Lingle Guide Review for several years. She also worked at Jirdon Lawn and Garden.
Myrtle enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Harold Pricket of Torrington; three sisters-in-law, Miriam Bremer, Dixie Bremer and Lenore Bremer, all of Lingle; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ed Jantzen; five brothers, Glen, Harry, Dale, Ralph and Donald Bremer; and her sister, Gladys Prickett.
