The Town of Lingle will hold a municipal election on May 10, 2010.

Three seats are up for vote, the position of mayor and two town council seats.

Anyone interested in running for the seats must file their intention between March 11 and March 31, 2010 and pay a $25 filing fee. All candidates must comply with state laws concerning filing statements of campaign receipts and expenditures and reside in the town of Lingle. Town Clerk David Kendall will accept applications until 5 pm on March 31. No application will be considered after that time. Application forms are available at the Lingle Town Hall.

Current Mayor Pinky Walter and twon council members Joe Welte and Dawn Gilchriest have not indicated their intentions as of press time.
