Lingle website to get makeover

LINGLE, The Lingle Town Council unanimously approved letting Lingle-Fort Laramie High School seniors Joe Jackson and Orrin Kinberg construct a new town website.
The town council will approve any changes prior to the website going live, and the new website should be completed in the next few months.

Fort Laramie decides on chicken ownership laws

FORT LARAMIE, The Fort Laramie Town Council discussed and passed the first reading of a new ordinance for the keeping of chickens by residents, which included an array of terms and restrictions including a $50 application fee for residents.

Lone Tree abandonment to continue

TORRINGTON, During their regular meeting last Tuesday, the Goshen County Commissioners unanimously voted to allow the abandonment process of County Road 183, better known as Lone Tree Canyon Road, to continue.

County working on new west entrance at fairgrounds

TORRINGTON, A newly designed entrance to the Goshen County Fairgrounds should allow for an easier and safer way for motorists and visitors to come and go during events, according to designers.
Rachelle Anderson, project engineer who helped design the entrance, said the old west entrance to the fairgrounds created hazardous conditions for drivers, as well as pedestrians.

Snow, cold brings more good than bad for crops and growers

TORRINGTON, While cold weather conditions have delayed fieldwork for some farmers, it is expected the precipitation from recent snowfall will prove beneficial to crop production.
